Does my money actually go to food?
Yes. The prepaid card is technically restricted. It won't work at liquor stores, gas stations, or anywhere except food merchants, and it can't withdraw cash.
Is it safe to pay on my phone?
Payments run through Stripe. Same infrastructure used by Amazon, Google, and millions of businesses.
How do I know it got there?
The person who set up the card can see every gift it receives. Your gift is added to the card shortly after you give.
Does Myte take a cut?
MYTE adds a 4% fee plus payment processing on top at checkout, so your full gift goes onto the card. MYTE is a business, not a charity, so gifts aren't tax-deductible.
